Describe your firm in your own words and the types of clients that you typically work with:

At Hostetler Financial, we believe building and managing wealth shouldn’t be that difficult. We aim to remove the confusion, deliver high-quality advice, and increase your knowledge and comfort level with how your money is being invested.

All decisions we make will be in your best interests. We work to create better financial outcomes through three core pillars: understanding your needs, providing integrated advice, and striving for simplicity.

We understands on a personal level how family dynamics and personal relationships impact and shape your financial decisions. We take the time to listen to our clients to craft customized solutions tailored to your unique needs.

Our distinct solutions are tailored to individuals, families, and businesses. Our clients know that they can entrust us to handle their finances, not just because of our industry knowledge and experience, but because of our open communication, approachability, and commitment to always putting your best interests first. Our primary goal is to see you succeed, and when you do, celebrate with you along the way.

Our focus and responsibilities transcend what is often considered “traditional” wealth planning. We take the time to discuss and understand how you want your wealth to influence you and your family or how you want your purpose to impact your wealth.

How are you compensated for your work? List your compensation methods out in detail:
Hostetler Financial is compensated through a combination of both advisory fee’s and commissions based on the financial services we provide. We believe in complete transparency.

What is the one standout detail about your firm that clients find with your firm that they have not found elsewhere?:

Building Wealth with a Purpose
You do not have to choose between building significant wealth and living a life of purpose. You can enjoy both when you look “Beyond Wealth.”

Our ability to connect your wealth and purpose is what sets us apart. Our goal is to meet at the intersection of wealth and purpose and ultimately determine what that looks like for you and your family. This intersection is unique for every family and for each business. We help you clarify that vision, set a path, and have greater impact.

Daniel Hostetler
Partner & Advisor

With over 10 years in the financial services industry, Daniel spent most of his life watching his father provide financial counseling and wealth management services to clients. Seeing the way his dad could authentically connect with and humbly serve others through his work inspired Daniel to pursue his own career in the financial services industry.

Daniel grew up in Howard County, MD, and with a business degree from Georgetown University, is a proven emerging leader in the financial services industry. He has been recognized as a multi-year Advisor of the Year nominee and most recently named a Rising Star in Advising by Employee Benefit Advisors Magazine. His specialties include financial consulting, HR compensation and benefits, and asset management. In 2021, Daniel decided to merge forces with his father as an advisor and partner at Hostetler Financial, LLC.

Daniel’s career as an advisor has been centered on creating authentic personal connections and serving others. He’s passionate about working with his clients to bring order to their financial lives and finds the greatest satisfaction in seeing them gain confidence and understanding in their finances through the trusted guidance he provides.

Daniel currently lives in small-town Brookeville, Maryland, with his wife, Katharine, and their two amazing children: Charlotte and Noah. He enjoys the quieter and more rustic atmosphere while remaining close to two major cities. Daniel is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys spending time outdoors, where he can think, reflect, and clear his mind. He is active in his community and passionate about serving others, both in his work and through his support of local and national nonprofit organizations. His character is defined by his personal mission statement, “To serve as a leader, grow in knowledge, live a balanced life, and act on ethical principles while impacting the lives of others.”

Ben Hostetler
Partner & Chief Investment Officer

Ben joined Hostetler Financial in 2022 and serves as the Chief Investment Officer. He is responsible for leading our proprietary investment process and leads our investment committee. Prior to joining Hostetler Financial, Ben served as the Portfolio Manager for Virtus Wealth Solutions for 10 years.

After earning his finance degree from Georgetown University in 2009, he started his career in Investment Banking with Merrill Lynch, followed by Private Equity with Sterling Partners. He learned that, instead of working with institutions and companies, he thrives on personal connection and wanted to work more closely with individuals and families in helping them reach their financial goals.

Ben lives in Laurel, Maryland, with his wife Kaitlyn, son Holden, and daughter Harlow. He enjoys spending time with his family, surfing, carpentry, and the outdoors.
